Domestic robusta prices in Vietnam have risen more than 3 percent in the past week, tracking gains on the London futures market, and growers and trading houses are stepping up sales as a result, traders said.
Vietnam to sell 700,000 T rice to Philippines

Coffee export turnover gains US$1.1 billion
741,000 tonnes of coffee were exported in the first six months this year with the export turnover of US$1.1 billion, up 23% in terms of volume and down 12.07% in terms of value, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Speculators squeezing world coffee market, say Vietnam’s exporters
Vietnamese coffee industry leaders are meeting urgently to cope with the lowest export prices in three years. Speculators are blamed, but its said that Vietnamese exporters have fallen into the trap because of their lack of professionalism and unity.
About export market of Vietnam coffee
In 2007/2008, the country exported 1,077,375 tons of the coffee, the turnover reached 2087 million dollars, decreased slightly compared with the amount of the 2006/2007, but increased 31% in value. Price export average 1,937 dollars per ton, up 16% compared with the previous year.
2009:Viet Nam export 5 million tons of rice The situation export of rice in Vietnam in 2009 will be affected by production, increasing of the world rice reserves and degradation of global economy. It predict that the situation will be better on the last half of 2009 with exports may reach five million tons in 2009 due to the current national reserve is about 900,000 tons of rice.
